A total of 9,457 results have been withheld as the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) on Friday announced that it has released the results of 91, 225 private candidates who sat the 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Nigeria.
According to the head of the Nigeria National Office of the Council, Mr. Olu I. Adenipekun, a total of 97,080 candidates registered for the examination in Nigeria, out of which 94,884 candidates sat the examination.
Nigerian Tribune reports that out of the 94, 884 candidates who sat for the examination, 33, 304 (representing 35.10 per cent) obtained credits and above in at least five mandatory subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
