Edo State Police Command has arrested two officers, Corporal Ozimende Aidonojie and Constable Salubi Stephen, for allegedly fighting in public.
Aidonojie with service no F/NO 41112 and Stephen, F/NO 516384, were seen in a viral video, posted by @ParodySpokesman on Twitter, attacking each other physically.
According to police authorities, the duo had been arrested, detained and ‘currently undergoing internal disciplinary sanctions at the Edo State Police Command Headquarters.’
The police have therefore promised to make the outcome of the trial public while assuring that it would be swift and thorough.
